PALIMPSESTE
Ce projet photos/dessins relève d’une dialectique entre l’image capturée et sa transformation dans le processus de création. L’image duelle est le face à face de deux artistes en regard l’une de l’autre. Notre recherche est basée sur la métamorphose du sujet. Faire muer nos images respectives et transverses, c’est à cet endroit là que notre exploration se situe.
Ce processus de création mêlant photographie et dessin va révéler une image nouvelle. Il oriente l’interprétation de l’image photographique, comme un palimpseste où la couche invisible de l’image jaillit et vice et versa.
Notre travail manipule les différentes couches de visuels par l’outil Photoshop afin de créer ensemble une oeuvre qui fasse sens. Nos références picturales et photographiques, influencées par la peinture de grands maîtres, tels Gauguin ou Rodin avec ses dessins découpés tentent de construire un dispositif singulier.
L’essence de nos oeuvres respectifs touche au sensible, à la Femme, au désir.
Du réel surgit à nos yeux la poésie du monde.

This photo/drawing project involves a dialectic between the captured image and its transformation in the creative process. The dual image is the face-to-face confrontation of two artists looking at each other. Our research is based on the metamorphosis of the subject. This is where our exploration lies : in the mutation of our respective, cross-disciplinary images.
This creative process, combining photography and drawing, will reveal a new image. It guides the interpretation of the photographic image, like a palimpsest where the invisible layer of the image emerges and vice versa.
Our work manipulates the different layers of visuals using Photoshop to create a meaningful work together. Our pictorial and photographic references, influenced by the painting of great masters such as Gauguin or Rodin with his cut-out drawings, attempt to construct a singular device.
The essence of our respective works touches on the sensitive, on Woman, on desire.
The poetry of the world emerges from reality.
